Play is off and running for Day 2 of the SugarRush and the big stacks are quickly starting to separate themselves from the field. While a few of them you may already know, there others making their climb in pursuit of today’s title.
Tom Binetti came into today with just under 400,000 chips and has hit the ground running in the early going. Binetti has a few smaller cashes to his name including a few at Borgata during 2016. Today marks a golden opportunity for Binetti to break through and notch his largest career tournament score.
Schuyler Twaddle is nearing the $400,000 mark in career earnings with the lion’s share of that total coming from a victory at Borgata in 2008. Twaddle starts Day 2 with over 300,000 and is joined at his table by fellow big stack Chris Caruso and previous SugarRush final tablist John Attanasio.
Anthony Tonzelli started Day 2 as the chip leader with 401,000. Tonzelli is in the midst of a strong 2016 that includes a runner-up finish in a Poker Night Classic event held at SugarHouse in April. Tonzelli earned $5,100 for that score and could top that with a final table run here today.
