Adam Levitan

There will be no repeat title run for Adam Levitan as the recent Poker Night in America Main Event champion just bowed out in 6th place at the hands of Jerry Johnson. Action was picked up with Johnson opening to 240,000 from under the gun and after some folds, Levitan went into the tank from the big blind.

He then three-bet to 900,000 and after some thought, Johnson called to see a flop. Levitan checked the AA9 board and Johnson quickly cut and slid 750,000 across the line. Levitan then went into the tank again and eventually announced himself “all-in”.

Before Levitan could even get a stack across the line, Johnson had blurted out “call” and turned over A♠K. The defending PNIA SugarHouse Main Event champion cursed the move and then flipped over QQ♠.

He’d need to hit to stay alive, as Johnson had him covered but he couldn’t, as the 6♣ and 5♣ completed the board and confirmed Levitan’s 6th place finish. He’ll make just over $5,600 for his final table run and prior to his elimination, Brian Hastings was crippled in a blind versus blind encounter.

That hand saw Alyson Parker open shove the small blind for just over 2,000,000 and with close to 2,700,000 behind, Hastings went into deep thought. After close to two and a half minutes, he called, only to see that he was dominated. Parker held A♠Q and Hastings turned over K♣Q.

The three-time WSOP bracelet winner has won a few all-ins coming from behind today but he couldn’t do it this time around, as the board ran out clean for Parker. When the dust settled, she was stacking up a leading 4,200,0000 chip stack, while Hastings was left with just under seven big blinds.
