Joe Palma is once again in control and nearing heads up play.

Michael Hager climbed close to the chip lead after being down to five big blinds in Level 30 and is now firmly in second behind Joe Palma. The three-handed dynamic has been something to behold as the three players have been friendly with one another but are fighting like crazy to take the title. Palma is back in the lead with close to 10,000,000 after picking off a Hager bluff.

Palma opened for 450,000 on the button and Hager defended his big blind to see a K♣7♠4 flop. Both players checked and the 3 hit the turn. Hager bet 500,000 and Palma called to the A river.

Hager fired a 1,000,000 chip barrel and Palma called after some thought with K2♣. Hager’s jack-high was no good and Palma took in the pot.

Hager is playing about 5,200,000 and Abe Faroni is the short stack with only 3,000,000.
