Joe Palma started heads up play against Michael Hager with a sizable chip lead but the roles have been flip-flopped and it is now Palma on the short end of things.
The first double for Hager was a bad beat of the worst kind as Hager’s K♥Q♥ ran down the K♠Q♦ of Palma. Hager was all-in for 3,300,000 and received the generous run out of Q♣3♦3♥2♥9♥ to leave Palma spinning in his tracks.
A few hands later, on a board of A♥9♦4♣7♠4♦, Hager bet 2,000,000 into a pot of 1,500,000. Palma responded with a shove all-in for Hager’s last 4,000,000 and he called with 9♥9♠ for a full house. Palma was in disbelief as he flashed the 4♠ and shipped the double.
Palma is currently playing 7,200,000 and Hager is leading with 11,000,000. With only 60 blinds left in play, we can expect to see many more all-ins in the immediate future.
