Level 29 (60,000/120,000/20,000)
Total Entrants: 511
Players Remaining: 3
Average Stack: 6,095,000
Shortly after the four remaining players failed to come to an agreement, Peter Miranda was at risk in a pot worth nearly half of the chips in play against Abe Faroni.
Miranda limped in from under the gun and Joe Palma put in a raise to 330,000 on the button. Faroni boosted the action up to 900,000 in the small blind and after Michael Hager folded his big blind, Miranda moved all-in for 3,385,000 total. Palma wasn’t pleased with having to do it but folded, and Faroni was then put to a big decision.
With large pay jumps in play along with the title to think about, Faroni had plenty to tank over. After two minutes of thought, Faroni called with A♦K♥ and was flipping against the Q♦Q♠ of Miranda.
The K♠8♦6♠ flop put Faroni ahead and added to his lead on the A♣ turn. Needing a queen on the river, Miranda got the 2♠ instead. Miranda had a great run through this event and will earn over $19,000 for his finish. Faroni now holds half of the chips in play with Level 29 near a close.
