PPC Main Event (Day 2): It’s Not An Upset If You’re A High Seed

Level 15 (2,500/5,000/500)
Total Entrants: 504

Players Remaining: 96
Average Stack: 183,000

The availability of entry on Day 2 has proved to be a hit so far as 28 players have made their way in for the price of $2,100. A few of the players who have entered so far today have already spun up their starting stack of 120,000 and are more than equipped for a deep run.

This week has plenty busy for Olivier Busquet, who is already up to about 350,000 early in Level 15. Busquet reached the final table of the WPT Rolling Thunder event on Monday and bowed out in fifth place for a $63,000 score. Friday and Saturday alone, Busquet both played and commentated in the Poker Night in America Cash Game. Busquet is already fast at work on Day 2 and near the top of the counts as we near the end of the registration period.

Greg Himmelbrand normally stays on the East Coast for tournaments but has earned his fair share of miles this month. Himmelbrand earned a combined $57,000 for his finishes in the Wynn Spring Classic Main Event and Bay 101 Shooting Stars Classic and made the trip down from Atlantic City early this morning to participate in another six-figure guaranteed event.
