PPC Main Event (Day 2): Abe Faroni Knocks One Out In Unorthodox Fashion

Level 18 (5,000/10,000/1,000)
Total Entrants: 511

Players Remaining: 50
Average Stack: 366,000

Abe Faroni took in a big pot in an unusual fashion and is nearing the 700,000 chip mark.

You see something new every day in a poker tournament and we recently had the immense pleasure of witnessing the rare raise-call-all in-raise-all in line play out which resulted in Abe Faroni moving up to 675,000.

Yitong Wang raised from the under the gun to 24,000 and Faroni called from one seat over. Chris Perkins then moved all-in for 85,000 out of the cutoff and Wang responded with another raise to 142,000. Once the amount was confirmed of Wang’s raise, Faroni moved all-in for 398,000 total. Wang thought for a few minutes and the folded to Faroni’s pressure to leave himself with 450,000.

Faroni flipped up J♣J♠ and was in a race against the AK♣ of Perkins. The 763 flop gave Perkins a flush draw but the 2♠ turn and 2 river sent him to the payout cage. Faroni is now up near the chip leaders and along with Dave Stevens, the only two players left in the field who can repeat their Main Event final table run of a year ago.
