PPC (Seniors Event): Second Place – Mark Napier ($2,200)

Level 17 (2,500/5,000/500)
Total Entrants: 19
Players Remaining: 1
Average Stack: 475,000

Mark Napier was the chip leader for most of the final table but will have to settle for second place after a great run in Event 5.

Once Rafael Camejo wrestled the chip lead away from Mark Napier, their heads up match quickly became a one-sided affair. Camejo gained more and more chips from Napier and before long, Napier was under 100,000. Napier had a chance to get a big double but in the end, it was Camejo’s day.

The two players invested 15,000 a piece to see the A♣8♣7♠ flop and then both checked to the 10 turn. Camejo checked for the second time and Napier bet 45,000. Camejo then check-raised all-in for over 200,000 total and Napier called to put himself at risk.

Camejo had the edge with 98 but Napier was live with his 9♠7. Needing a six, seven, or a jack to stay alive, Napier missed on the 5♠ river and will settle for second place. A winner’s recap will be posted shortly.
