The first of seven flights for the Philadelphia Poker Classic got underway yesterday and set a quality pace with 60 total entrants. The $200,000 guaranteed prize pool should be hit by the time the weekend rolls around and today’s Day 1B will add more money toward that total. As with all PPC Main Event starting flights, $500 buys players 30,000 starting chips and 12 45-minute levels to fight through with a berth into Sunday’s Day 2 waiting on the other side.
Late registration and re-entry are open for all 12 levels with Day 2 buy-ins available until Level 16. As a reminder, all players who enter on Day 2 will receive 120,000 chips (40 big blinds) in exchange for their $2,100 entry. The SugarHouse Blog will pick up primary coverage of the Main Event toward the end of the week but will, in the meantime, post chip counts from each flight.
