Mike Ta flopped perfect to double up and is back out of the danger zone at the SugarRush Challenge final table.

Mike Ta came into six-handed play as the short stack and with a $2,000 pay jump in place between fifth and sixth, the field would not have been sad to see him eliminated. Alas, Ta flopped perfect against Rocco Faroni and is now back up to 20 big blinds.

Faroni opened for 225,000 in the cutoff and Ta jammed for 855,000 out of the big blind. As soon as the amount was announced, Faroni called with 33♠ to put Ta’s AK♣ at risk. The Q♣J♣10♠ flop gave Ta broadway and all but ended the confrontation.

With the hit, Faroni is just below the 4,000,000 mark and is in third place behind Schuyler Twaddle and Brian Frasca. Ta is now playing close to 2,000,000 and right next to Michael Marder for fifth place at the final table.
