10th Place – Travis Hartshorn ($2,669)

Travis Hartshorn started the final table near the bottom of the leaderboard and had a chance to double up into contention but the deck had other ideas. Daniel Bak effectively doubled up as eliminated Hartshorn as the field is removed of one less tournament crusher.

Rocco Faroni opened the action for 110,000 from the hijack and Bak jammed for about 700,000 total out of the cutoff. Chris Behney folded his button and action was on Hartshorn. Hartshorn tanked for two minutes and moved all-in for just under what Bak had.

Faroni folded and Hartshorn had a major opportunity to double up with JJ♠ against the 99 of Bak. The 9♠ came in the window and was followed but the 10♠ and the 8♣ to give Hartshorn a redraw to a straight. The 10♣ hit the turn to fill up Bak, leaving Hartshorn drawing to one of the two remaining jacks.

The river was a brick and Bak scooped the pot to eliminate Hartshorn and move up to 1,600,000 with the blinds ready to go up.
