The SugarRush is one of the most popular recurring tournaments in the Philadelphia area and that fame reached new heights this week. A record 701 entrants registered over the course of eight starting flights and 167 of them have returned for today’s Day 2. More are set to join them as for $1,100, players are eligible up until the start of Level 16 to enter and receive a starting stack of 100,000 upon registering.
Among the players returning near the top of the chip counts are Schuyler Twaddle, Orville Arthurs and former SugarRush final tablist, Roger Dickerman. All players are chasing Vinicio Dalessio, who is the only player to start Day 2 over 300,000.
Levels for Day 2 will be 45 minutes in length with a break taking place at the end of every third level. We will get a better idea of the finalized field size as the Day 2 buy-ins trickle in and the final prize pool will be posted as soon as it is available.
