Michael Marder incinerated the pocket aces of Steve Falchetta and is the chip leader of the SugarRush Challenge as a result.

There are many different ways to accumulate chips in a large fashion but cracking aces never goes out of style, as Michael  Marder can attest to. Marder took advantage of a free flop to snap the blades of Steve Falchetta and is the new chip leader of the SugarRush Challenge.

Falchetta limped from under the gun with A♣A and Marder checked his option with K2 to see a K♣42♠ flop. Marder checked and Falchetta bet 70,000. Marder check-raised Falchetta all-in for about 220,000 more and Falchetta called to see the bad news.

As he lamented his fate, Falchetta was still fairly live to double up but the K♠ turn left him needing a river ace. Marder faded the the two-outer and is now up to 1,300,000, putting him a few hundred thousand ahead of Andrew Carnevale only a few players from the three table redraw.
