Travis Hartshorn can smile comfortably for now as he is the current SugarRush Challenge chip leader and the first player over 1,000,000.

It didn’t take too long in Level 19 for the first player to hit 1,000,000 and Travis Hartshorn is that player. We noted earlier how Hartshorn has been increasing his stack from the moment he bought in on Day 2, and through his elimination of Ronald Choquette is the chip leader with 51 players remaining in the SugarRush Challenge.

Hartshorn opened for 27,000 from the lojack and found a caller in the cutoff before Choquette moved all-in for 40,000 out of the small blind. Both Hartshorn and the cutoff called to put Choquette at risk and the flop came down A6♣2♠. The two players checked and the 3 hit the turn.

Hartshorn bet about 45,000 and the cutoff folded. Choquette was down to a three-outer with J10♠ against the K10♣ of Hartshorn and had to hit to triple up. The river bricked and Hartshorn raked in the pot to vault himself into the chip lead as he looks to take down another East Coast title.
