Level 13 (2,000/4,000/500)
Total SugarRush Challenge Entries: 567
Players Remaining: 130
Chip Average: 109,000
The SugarRush Challenge became one of the most popular two-day tournaments on the East Coast during 2016 and the first running of the new year has carried over the momentum. The $100,000 guarantee is already in the rearview mirror with a few Day 2 buy-ins set to be had before registration closes at the end of Level 15. All players who utilize their option to purchase an $1,100 Day 2 seat will have a stack of 100,000 waiting for them.
Levels for Day 2 will be 45 minutes in length with a break taking place at the end of every third level. With SugarHouse utilizing the 1-in-8 payout structure, it will be a few levels before the money bubble becomes a factor. We will get a better idea of the finalized field size as the Day 2 buy-ins trickle in.
Tom Goshaw currently leads the field with 289,000 but there are numerous players over 200,000 nipping at his heels. Among the players with a healthy stack in front of them to start play today include Jesse Cohen, Stosh Gepp, Tom Gleason, and Scott Blumstein.
Play will get started at 12:00 pm and the SugarHouse blog will be here until the first SugarRush Champion of 2017 is crowned.
