SugarRush (Day 2): Running Full House For Chris Caruso Gets Minimum From Prateek Chandra

Level 17 (4,000/8,000/1,000)
Total SugarRush Challenge Entries: 520
Players Remaining: 40
Chip Average: 353,000

Chris Caruso ran down Prateek Chandra’s flopped set to ascend over 500,000 while Chandra managed to only lose the minimum.

We noted earlier how Jonathan Gonzalez called correctly against Dhaval Joshi to pick up a key pot. On the other end of the spectrum, Prateek Chandra managed to just call against Chris Caruso to avoid losing what could have been the biggest pot of the tournament.

Chandra opened from early position and found three callers to see a Q♠104 flop. Action checked to Caruso on the button, who bet 50,000. Chandra was the only caller and the J♣ hit the turn. Both players checked and the J♠ fell on the river. Chandra checked for the third time and Caruso slid in 111,000.

Chandra managed to flick a single chip in to call and was shown QJ for a full house. The table reacted, though, when Chandra flashed 44 for a smaller full house. What could have been a disaster for Chandra was mitigated as he is still playing over 500,000 while Caruso is now up to 515,000. Their table is likely the most top-heavy one in the room with Schuyler Twaddle and Geno Raman each over 550,00 with Greg Fishberg lurking below the chip average.
