We are now two players from the final table with the ensuing eliminations of Geno Raman and Schuyler Twaddle.
Raman was the first to go with John Attanasio serving as the primary recipient. The two got all-in for Attanasio’s tournament life, worth roughly 500,000. Raman held A♦J♦ against the Q♥Q♠ of Attanasio. The board provided no help to Raman and he was eliminated a few hands later.
On the adjacent table, Twaddle fell victim to Sridhar Sangannagari, who had been a frequent antagonizer of Twaddle following the dinner break.
Twaddle opened to 125,000 from early position and Sangannagari moved all-in having all other players covered. Twaddle called for his last 700,000 or so with J♦J♠ and would need to hold against Sangannagari’s A♥K♣. Twaddle saw the bad news when an ace hit the flop and he was soon out the door.
Sangannagari is now nearing the chip lead with 2,000,000 as only Ed Smith is ahead of him.
