Kevin Grabel has gotten his money in behind a few times on Day 2, but in what might have been his most difficult decision of the SugarRush Challenge, Grabel called correctly and was rewarded with the elimination of Charles Bailey.
From the cutoff, Bailey opened to 210,000 and Grabel responded with a button three-bet to 730,000. Bailey then moved all-in over the top for 3,300,000 sending Grabel into the tank. Grabel said he had ace-king and wondered out loud if he would be able to fold it despite thinking he might be ahead.
After a few minutes of thought, Grabel called and saw his instincts were correct as his A♣K♦ was ahead of Bailey’s A♥Q♥. The A♦J♦2♥ flop kept Grabel ahead and the J♠ put a few chop outs in play for Bailey. The river card was a measly 6♥ and Bailey would be eliminated after a great run through this event.
Grabel is now over 8,500,000 and the current owner of nearly half of the chips in play.
