Following the elimination of Ben Kritzer, Greg Fishberg was the new short stack. Fishberg was near or at the top of the leaderboard but as Kevin Grabel gained more chips at the final table, Fishberg became hamstrung with Grabel on his direct left, especially once Charles Bailey was eliminated.
Fishberg shoved for his last 2,200,000 from the button and Grabel wasted little time calling from the small blind. Andrew Mullen released his big blind. Grabel held a sizable edge with A♣K♣ against Fishberg’s Q♦8♥.
The 6♦4♦4♥ flop didn’t help Fishberg much and the A♥ on the turn was the final nail in the coffin for him. Fishberg will take home $12,666 for his run and we will likely see him again soon in another SugarHouse event.
Grabel will start heads up play with about 13,800,000 to Andrew Mullen’s 3,850,000.
