SugarRush (Day 2): 12th & 13th Place – Zach Young and Aryeh Cohen

Level 25 (25,000/50,000/5,000)
Total SugarRush Challenge Entries: 634
Players Remaining: 11
Chip Average: 1,605,000

Aryeh Cohen (Brooklyn, NY)

Zach Young (Philadelphia, PA)

The theme of short stacks hitting the rail has continued in Level 25 as Aryeh Cohen and Zach Young both hit the rail to bring the field one elimination away from the final table.

Cohen was the first of the two to go when he got all-in for about 600,000 on a J♠9♠7A board against Andrew Mullen who held A10♠ against the draw of Cohen K♠8♠. The 8 river did not help Cohen and he will earn $1,849 for his finish. Mullen is now nearing the 2,000,000 and is now top-five in chips for the first time all day.

Young was the next to go and met his end at the hands of Greg Fishberg. Young grinded a short stack nearly all day and almost made it to the final table. After an open from Fishberg in late position, Young was all-in from the small blind for about 250,000 and Fishberg called.

It wasn’t quite a classic race, but a flip nonetheless as Fishberg held 7♣5♣ to Young’s 22♠. The A♠8♣5 flop gave Fishberg the lead and Young would not catch up. Fishberg is climbing toward Kevin Grabel as he has 2,800,000, which is good for second place.

Roger Dickerman is the new low man with 500,000 directly on the bubble of the final table.
