Justin Tran (Philadelphia, PA)

Justin Tran came into the final table in the middle of the pack in chips but quickly dropped down after doubling up Ben Kritzer. Tran was soon all-in against Kevin Grabel and as most things have gone today, it went Grabel’s way to send Tran to the rail.

Greg Fishberg opened from early position to 105,000 and Grabel three-bet from the cutoff to 325,000. Sitting in the big blind, Tran moved all in for about 800,000 more and Fishberg got out of the way. Grabel said he didn’t want to fold and found a call after about 30 seconds.

Grabel was ahead with J♣J but Tran had overs with KQ. The 62♠2♣8♠7♣ board was perfect for Grabel and he is now up to 5,100,000, good for nearly 30 percent of the chips in play.
